Propagation of Modified Bessel-modulated Gaussian beams

with quadratic radial dependence

Abstract

     Using a suitable angular spectrum function and based on the Collins diffraction integral, the propagation property of Modified Bessel-modulated Gaussian beams with quadratic radial dependence is studied. It’s shown that the closed-form expressions of these beams passing through a paraxial ABCD optical system can be written in terms of the Humbert’s confluent hypergeometric function of two variables. Our results are illustrated with some numerical examples.
