Hydrodynamic establishment of a liquid film

resulting from poiseuille flow type

Abstract

     We present, in a synthetic way, the improved study on the establishment of smooth laminar regime at high Reynolds numbers, Froude and Weber by a method of asymptotics expansions. Then, we propose an analytical model for the field of velocity in the laminar hydrodynamic boundary layer of a non- established liquid film streaming on an inclined plane and extending an established flow between two parallel half- planes. Finally, the hydrodynamic characteristics of the film are calculated and analyzed showing the influence of gravity on: the parietal gradients of longitudinal velocity, the thickness of the film, and on the velocity at the free surface of the liquid film.
