Abstract

X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Infrared (IR), Optical Absorption (OA) and Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) are combined to give a description of two Poly-3-methoxy-toluenes (P3mt). Except the ESR analysis, all other measurements show a great similarity between the two polymers. In fact, ESR analysis shows that one of the polymer has a new paramagnetic center added to the one observed in both cases. This difference could be related to the structural conformation originated from the electropolymerization process.
