Effect of lanthanum doping in sol gel processed PLT samples is investigated with the help of an analytical approach involving simple considerations of interacting dipoles, and occupation probabilities of different sites. It is shown that exchange and electrostatic interactions and their behavior, due to the disorder created by La, may explain structural changes in these materials and the decrease of the maximum of the dielectric constant.
