Fast and exact expression for the resonant frequency
of a circular disk microstrip antenna

Abstract

     The fast and accurate closed-form expression for the resonant frequency of a circular disk microstrip antenna is presented. It is as a function of the effective radius and dynamic dielectric constant has been derived which is valid for electrically thick dielectric substrates. Accuracy of the theoretical results of resonance is compared with previous theories and experimental results. The model is very fast and accounts all kind of losses in the resonant frequency.
