Abstract

The thermal non-destructive testing is able to reveal the presence of a defect by examination of the anomaly that can produce on the profile of the input temperature's sturcture. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effect of the thermophysical nature of a defect in a structure on the transfer of heat. The approach used in this work based on the finite difference method, consists in comparing the evolution of the temperature and the heat flow in transitory and permanent regimes in different regions of the material, supposed at first homogeneous, and in a second time as containing an inclusion defect.
