Abstract 

In this paper, the problem of identification of physical thermal parameters of three wall structures is considered. A spatial and temporal discretisation is used to transform the partial differential equation of heat conduction into discrete time state space models. The best order of each model is determined and thermal parameters are then identified by using a set of experimental data and a Prediction Error. Results show that thermal parameters can be obtained with a better accuracy.
