Continuous-wave oscillation of Tm3+ doped fiber laser
at 1.9µm and 2.3µm

Continuous-wave operation of Tm3+ doped fluorozirconate fiber laser, simultaneously at around 1.9µm and 2.3µm when pumped at around 790nm, is theoretically modeled. The model based on the formalism of the rate equation predicts that Excited-state absorption (ESA) at the pumping wavelength can’t affect the dynamical behavior of our laser .
