CONVECTION IN FLUID LAYER ROTATING ABOUT A VERTICAL AXIS WITH INHOMOGENIOUS BOUNDARY CONDITIONS

Abstract

We study the convection flows in a horizontal layer heated from below and rotating about a vertical axis. The aim of the present paper is, for the considered problem, to characterise the influence of the heterogeneity of the condition to the limit of the temperature on the stability of the flow with respect of the Taylor number . The influence of this infinitesimal perturbation has been studied by an asymptotic expansion with respect of the amplitude of the exitator. When approaches, one must expect a coupling between the effect of the heterogeneity of the condition to the limit of the temperature and the bifurcation of Rayleigh ().
