Abstract

The adjustment of olfactive response curves on the frog by using a statistical physics model that was published previously, leads us to improve this model and to explain better recent experiments. The new proposed expression is in agreement with the theoretical response curve given by the monolayer model that was published, but is more explicit. This model allows us to derive the analytical expressions of the physico-chemical parameters involved in the adsorption phenomenon. Thanks to the fitting curves we could determine the values of the parameters describing the adsorption process at a molecular level. A physical interpretation has been provided and some results relating to the adsorption process discussed.
