Electron capture in slow collisions
of Neq+(q = 7, 8, 9 and 10) ions with C60

Electron capture by slow Neq+(q = 7, 8, 9 and 10) (v=0.4 a.u), in collision with C60 fullerene has been investigated using coincident measurements of the number n of ejected electrons, the time of flight of multi charged recoil ions and their fragments and the final charge state of outgoing projectiles Ne(q-s)+ (1 = s = q-1). Partial cross sections which correspond to s electrons stabilized on the projectile from r active electrons primary transferred are measured. Cross sections for collisions "inside" and those "outside" the C60 cage are separated and the energy loss for each projectile ion is deduced. The number of active electrons exceeds largely the initial projectile charge.
